The punch/ugly outfit party. This is a photo of the guys in the truck - I bought the beautiful gingham dress for the guy on the left hand side for a massive one pound 25 or so. The guy lying at the front in the flowery dress is our driver, jez.

This is Viv's brother posting, seeing as the Internet connection Viv has is misbehaving. Hopefully Viv will edit this and add some detail on the pictures.



Flamingos and some unknown white bird (sorry for my lack of animal fact-finding!) in the Ngorogoro Crater in Tanzania.

Me taking a photo of my reflection in the ridiculously clear water. If you look really closely you can see all the individual sand ridges too.

Hannah, my tent partner, and I standing in the water at Nungwi. And before you say anything, she started off tanned (she's from the Caribbean) so that's why i look so peely-wally next to her! (that's my excuse anyway!)

Jambiani on the east coast of Zanzibar where we spent the first 2 nights on the island. It was around about an hour and a half's drive from Stone Town, the main area on the island, and as deserted as you could ask for. At least that's what the honeymooning couple thought until an overland truck with 27 people turned up - oops!

The white sand and clear water I had to put up with at a place called Nungwi on the north coast of Zanzibar - as you can probably imagine it was a hard few days there...!

Sunrise over the Serengeti

This photo was taken during a morning game drive we did in the Serengeti after staying there and having baboons fighting in our campsite during the night! On the game drive we saw so many animals including elephants, a leopard, lions and giraffes! Was a wee bit different to when i'd previously seen them in the zoo! :-)

Heading off at long last...

Preparing to leave Glasgow at 5:50am! I couldn't decide whether to take a jacket with me or not but eventually decided against it, which turned out to be a good move when I got on the plane to Nairobi and it was so hot it felt like they were trying to acclimatise us before we actually arrived in Africa!
